This is arguably the most unique contribution of Indian perfumery to the world.

Attar Mitti literally translates to "The Scent of Earth." It captures that exact, fleeting moment of "Pehli Baarish"—the first monsoon rain hitting the parched, sun-baked soil.

Produced in the ancient perfume capital of Kannauj, this scent is created by actually distilling clay pottery shards into a Sandalwood base.

The story here is one of relief and rejuvenation; it smells of nature drinking water after a long drought. It is dusty, soothing, and incredibly grounding. It connects you directly to the land.
